New neck lumps always require referral for examination with an ENT surgeon to rule out a cancer.
Tonsillitis is inflamation of the tonsils caused by bacteria or a virus. It typically is self limiting however occasionally antibiotics will shorten the course f the infection. Removing tonsils (tonsillectomy) can reduce the frequency and severity of sore throats.
Swallowing issues have numerous causes. It is often difficult to differentiate between whether the cause lies in the throat or lower down in the oesophagus. A consultation with an ENT surgeon or gastroenterologist is strongly recommended for patients with new onset swallowing difficulty.

Most people will experience nasal obstruction during their lifetime. Should this blockage extend beyond a few weeks then it is recommended to identify the cause. If the obstruction has been lifelong then occasionally surgery can correct the problem.
Facial pain can have many causes. From problems with the sinuses or teeth, through to issues with the salivary glands, nerve pain and the jaw joint. A detailed history and examination is required to identify the cause and offer solutions.
Ear pain or discharge is often sign of an underlying infection and examination is recommended to identify and treat the cause.
Wax is a natural substance produced by glands in the ear canal. Occasionally wax is overproduced leading to blockage of the ear canal and decreased hearing.
